the heart
a scale a stage
like nothing else
the government of a country
steeped
in lies and subterfuge
the lodestone for misery
and the miserable
home of the deceitful the
defeated
the heart
a scale unbalanced
courtroom like no other
departure and destination
of torment and the tormented
where expectations vie
with inclination
and the oppressed
outnumber
the oppressors
where judgments have
become the village of needs
unclothed
the province of despair
the heart
prisoner and prison
a scale sitting heavy
always against the grain
the condemned canvas
ready
for the paintbrush
in the clawed hands of pain
canvas threaded with the fear
of the conquered
in the grasp
of the conqueror
the heart voiceless
except when you speak
the heart speechless
except when you write
the heart defeated
except when
you
are
victorious
.:: this started out as a comment, a response, to a post by another, but somehow, it grew into something else. what a lovelier world this would be, if everything we do, or say, ONLY invokes the right kind of inspiration. don’t you think so, too?

the heart weak
except when
you lend your strength…
crippled and “still”
except when
you teach the “dance.”
^_^
pray tell, what is “the right kind of inspiration” for you? indulge the curious. ;)
Honestly, I am at a loss for words that could give justice to your work.
All I can say is that I think your words are art.
Beautiful.
