Redundance
Mar 8th, 2005 by Ree Joy
as i am
i am an infestation
of darkness
an appetite with arms
wide open
devoured and devouring
through life and my times
scourged by truth and lies
both mine and theirs
sweeping through
principle or metaphysic
past stranger and friend
until beauty finds me
light as petals on my mouth
until i find
myself dining on misery
over words
quaffing through silence
bent on discovery or loss
past all reluctance
thus i
become rainfall
coalescing into teardrop
from indifference
to pinpoint awareness
thus i am
undone
in becoming you
in finding another
equally denuded
similarly deluded
one moment quite lost
in another
even as we both unfold
into the next
even as i lose sense
where my lips ended
and where yours
began

This is so surreal..I’ve read this poem a few days back, and I was rendered speechless by it.
